2025 04 23 Day 3 of the trip, Lleida Today, a short visit to Avignon is on the agenda. Unfortunately, we cannot find a parking space close enough to the city, so we decide to skip this part of the trip. It is about 560 km to our next destination, Lleida in Spain. Lush green and yellow fields, as well as lavender fields, accompany us the entire way. We are also lucky in our search for a hotel in Lleida. The Hotel Real de Lleida is located on the street next to the river and there is also an underground parking garage directly in front of the hotel. After checking in, we set off to explore the city. At Plaça de Sant Joan, we dive into a summer festival, take the escalator up to the Palau de Justicia, and from there continue by elevator up the hill to Castell de la Suda. For dinner, we eat the best empanadillas we have ever had and drink a very tasty white wine in a very nice little restaurant.
